Passionate Mentors

Science

The real Bill Nye lab! No lectures. Just student volunteers willing to teach your child about their wonders of science and helping them with their homework as well.

Homework Help

Is your child struggling to complete their science homework? No worries! Our student volunteers can help with that.

Tutoring

Personal teaching is always the best when catering to your child's strengths and weaknesses. Depending on their assessments, a student volunteer will be assigned to your child to help them excel in science as much as they can!

English

From reading comprehension to vocabulary banks, English has it all. Words can be hard to understand at first, but with a little guidance, it can be the most thrilling and eye-opening chance to take.

Homework Help

Too many daunting stories to read for homework? Luckily, we have many excited student volunteers ready to help your child with that and any other English-related assignments.

Tutoring

Reading comprehension and vocab memorization can be some of the toughest obstacles your child may bump into. Yet, with the help of our volunteers, those two things don't have to be overwhelming in the slightest!

Test Prep

Every year, the honors and IAR testing include a reading section which we can prepare your child for with the guidance of student volunteers who have taken it before.

Math

Numbers don't have to be difficult. With the right amount of teaching and effort, they can become like second nature for some, making perfect sense in their own way.

Homework Help

Are some math problems proving to be too confusing? Encourage your child to come to us with questions, and our team will be glad to clear anything up for them.

Tutoring

The world of endless numbers and formulas can be easily understood through thorough explanations and patience, which is why we offer one-on-one math assistance for your child if needed.

Test Prep

The math portion of District 204 tests can be tricky but also a breeze if your child knows what to expect. Allow us at Flora to help them prepare for such tests with the help of students who have firsthand experience with them.

History

Who inhabited the world long ago? From the ancient Mayans to European explorers like Christopher Columbus, history encompasses the fascinating past of our world and humanity itself.

Homework Help

Long historical readings can become burdensome and boring at times, but with the right encouragement, doing them can be a blast. If your child struggles with this subject, fear not as our student mentors are more than happy to help!

Tutoring

Keeping track of dates and specific information can easily become overwhelming. With the personal guidance of our student teachers, however, your child will learn to embrace and remember history in no time.
