Growing up in Naperville, Illinois, Sophia has experienced her education with a diverse group of classmates and friends alike. Her past volunteer experience with immigrant children not only solidified her interest in immigration issues but also inspired her to create new learning opportunities for the immigrant youth. Noticing that many children were left unstimulated during their school breaks, Sophia founded Flora to nurture their growth and self-discovery in times of supposed discontinuance and to make an impact on the things she could.
As a fervent participator in creative and mentally-challenging clubs, Megan has come to understand the benefits of continued stimulation firsthand. Being a part of such activities has convinced her of their true purposes, notably the development of ambition and fulfillment within those who engage in them. Wanting to spread such opportunities to others with less access to them, Megan joined Flora to hopefully inspire other children to appreciate the beauty of continued mental stimulation just as much as she does.
